GIM Athletics Policies and Parent Information
Class Arrivals and Departures: Please have your child arrive no later than 5 minutes before class. We ask that you escort your child to and from the facility. Our parking lots get very busy and small children are hard to see. For your child’s safety, we will not allow them to wait outside for you.
Our guests are always welcome to observe classes. We do ask that parents keep an eye on siblings that come with you as our observing area is located upstairs. Any disruptive noises can be distracting to the students. We do PLEASE ask that parents allow the coaches to coach, and parents to silently observe. Visitors are NOT allowed in the gym at anytime. NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED!!!
Late Fees: A $20.00 late fee will be added to your account if payment is not made by the start of the 2nd class. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Make-Up Classes: You will receive 1 make up class per month, due to illness or vacations. The make up class must be made up in the same month that the class is missed. Classes will not be carried over to the next month. Your class will need to be made up during open gym hours.
No exceptions or refunds will be given if you do not make up your classes.
Student Progression: We are continually reviewing student abilities. The instructor will make recommendations to the parent when their child is ready to progress to the next level. All children progress at different rates, so please do not compare children.
Private Lessons: If you would like to have more individualized training for your child, we charge $35.00 per 1/2 hour for private lessons. Please inquire at the front desk for more information.
Physical Touching: Since gymnastics is a precise art it is necessary that our instructors may have to physically correct your child by putting their hands on your child’s bellies, buttocks, legs, arms etc. We do this so that the child becomes aware of the correct alignment which is required in gymnastics.
